Casting Shadows
A year of travel. A year of shadows. January 2019 - January 2020
Desperate to create artwork outside of my graphic design career, I gave myself a creative assignment. Traveling for work and pleasure, I was in a plane or on the road a few times a month, so the assignment needed to be something that I could take with me and complete quickly. What is with me all the time? My phone! I began taking images of light and shadow, back to the basics. Over the course of a year I took photos in locations from coast to coast and many places in between. Having this assignment encouraged me to look at everything differently, to look at everything with an artist’s eye.
